In 2012, while living in Summit County, Colorado, I shared experiences with friends at a bus stop when a group of bullies taunted us. In response, I defended our presence, highlighting that they were the real outsiders. One friend expressed a wish for a more accepting environment, sparking the idea of Mountain Punks. After moving to Michigan in 2014, I kept in touch with my friends and noted the toll bullying took on one particularly affected friend, Johnny, who sadly took his life in 2020. This tragedy motivated me to advocate for a supportive community created by punks for punks, aiming to prevent further suicides caused by relentless bullying. Just as the image below states PUNKS UNITED. This is the time for us to stand up for one another and knock the bullying down. As we launch Mountain Punks this is only the beginning of our war against Punk Bullying
This is How Mountain Punks came about!!!
